Image Rules and Guidelines

In addition to the strict platform requirements, the following rules help maintain high-quality images across the database and reduce the number of unused uploads.

Posters

Do not upload posters that:

  • Are low quality (e.g., heavy compression, visible artifacts)
  • Include Blu-ray/4K banners or similar packaging elements
  • Display release dates
  • Contain excessive text (company and actor names are okay)

Posters with Blu-ray/4K banners are not accepted because media servers can display format badges automatically.

Custom posters are acceptable if they are professionally designed.

When setting a primary poster for a person (order number set to 1), choose an image of the person from their middle age (approximately 30–40 years old), not a recent photo.

Backdrops

When setting the primary backdrop (order number set to 1), it must be an official promotional image, not a frame extracted from video.

Nudity is only allowed for content marked as adult.

Avoid uploading images that reveal spoilers whenever possible.
